Story
My Move To Edinburgh
My journey from the U.S. to Edinburgh was filled with challenges. What was meant to be a five-week transition stretched into nearly six months in limbo. Navigating Edinburgh's letting process for the first time, I encountered what felt like a maze of secret handshakes to get a viewing, let alone a virtual one.
During a bleak evening, after receiving yet another application rejection on one of the few flats I was able to get a viewing on, I recognised a gap in the market. I didn't want someone to manage my whole search, I just wanted to talk to someone who could give me a crash course in the local letting process. There felt like a lack of personalised support without also paying for services I didn't need, at a price tag I couldn't afford with my looming international move.
Driven by my own stressful saga — made even more difficult as I was relocating with three dogs — I founded Apidae Relocations, to make try and make someone else's move easier.
